BitBox Adds BSL Unlock for Bosch MD1CS012 Gen2 Kia and Hyundai ECUs
The latest BitBox software update introduces support for BSL unlocking of locked Bosch MD1CS012 Gen2 2020+ engine control units based on the Infineon AURIX TC298 processor.
The new functionality has been added to the Bosch MG1/MD1 Gen2 BENCH [SM2/SM3 ONLY] module and is intended for Bosch MD1CS012 ECUs used in Kia and Hyundai diesel vehicles.
Locked Bosch MD1CS012 Gen2 control units can now be unlocked in BSL mode and subsequently accessed on the bench, expanding BitBox capabilities for servicing protected Bosch MD1 ECUs.
New BitBox Support
The update adds support for:
- Bosch MD1CS012 Gen2 2020+
- Infineon AURIX TC298 processor
- BSL unlocking of locked ECUs
- subsequent BENCH-mode operation after unlocking
- Hyundai diesel vehicles
- Kia diesel vehicles
- Scanmatik 2 (SM2) and Scanmatik 3 (SM3) interfaces
The addition of MD1CS012 support further expands the BitBox Bosch MG1/MD1 Gen2 BENCH module for working with modern protected Bosch engine control units used in Hyundai and Kia vehicles.
