BitBox Update: Hitachi BED501 Support for Renault Gasoline Vehicles
The latest BitBox software update expands support for Renault engine management systems by adding compatibility with Hitachi BED501 ECUs used in gasoline vehicles.
Support has been implemented in the Nissan Hitachi Petrol UDS module, enabling professional work with Hitachi BED501 control units directly via the vehicle diagnostic interface.
Available functions include:
- ECU identification;
- firmware reading via OBD/diagnostic connector;
- firmware writing via diagnostic port;
All operations are performed without ECU disassembly, providing a faster and safer workflow for automotive diagnostics and ECU programming specialists.
