ProByte Edit USB Dongle – Hardware License Key for ECU Firmware Editing
ProByte Edit is a professional ECU firmware editor designed for analyzing and editing software files of engine control units.
With the help of ProByte Edit modules, specialists can work with various engine management systems and modify ECU firmware parameters.
The ProByte Edit USB dongle is not sold separately. To purchase the dongle, you must order at least one ProByte Edit module.

ProByte Edit USB Dongle – Hardware License Key for ECU Firmware Editing
The ProByte Edit USB dongle is a hardware protection key required to activate and use the ProByte Edit ECU firmware editor and its modules. The dongle acts as a secure licensing device that stores activation data for purchased modules and allows access to professional ECU file editing features.
Without the USB key, the software cannot be used with purchased modules. The ProByte Edit dongle is a USB hardware security device designed to protect the ProByte Edit software license. All modules for the ProByte Edit firmware editor are activated directly on the dongle.
Each dongle contains a unique serial number, which must be provided when purchasing additional modules.
How Activation Works
When purchasing ECU modules for ProByte Edit, the serial number of the USB dongle is required. The module license is then linked directly to the hardware key.
Once activated, the module becomes available inside the ProByte Edit firmware editor when the dongle is connected to the computer.
Important Information
The ProByte Edit software is intended for firmware analysis and editing only. It does not support ECU firmware reading or writing. These operations must be performed using separate ECU programming tools.
Software modules may allow modification of engine parameters related to emission control systems.

1. No Refunds or Modifications for Digital Licenses
Activated modules or licenses cannot be returned or refunded.
If an incorrect key or device number is entered by the customer, the purchase is not eligible for return.
Licenses cannot be modified, transferred, or reissued for another device under any circumstances.
2. Irreversible Order Processing
After the order status changes to “Waiting for activation”, the data has already been sent to the developer.
From this point onward, the order cannot be canceled, edited, corrected, or refunded.
3. Responsibility for Software Functionality
Our store is not responsible for the functionality, performance, or declared features of any software module.
We do not guarantee the listed functions because we are not the developer.
