ELS27 Adapter Revision 4.0 replaces the popular ELS27 version 3.0. The new adapter performs all the functions of its predecessor, as well as has a number of improvements and modifications.

All adapters are produced in St. Petersburg.

What has been added and changed:

• new dark blue case made of stronger plastic, the old transparent case could crack from a strong impact or a fall from a great height. The new case has holes for status LEDs. The new case is designed to work with additional Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules, there are special places for attachment on the case, previously the Bluetooth module was attached with glue inside the case
• the adapter has a micro-USB connector, any suitable USB cable can be used to connect to the computer. The USB connector is soldered through the holes, which ensures reliable fastening
• ability to use the latest firmware for STN2120. Version 3.0 adapter did not support this firmware due to circuitry features,
• a fuse has been added to the circuit to protect against "incorrect" 12-220 inverters and laptop chargers from the cigarette lighter. Now only the fuse should burn out, not the adapter. "Incorrect" chargers are understood to be blocks that provide voltages of -9V/+9V instead of the required 0V/+19V. Therefore, when -9V from the laptop meets 0V in the OBD socket, a short circuit occurs through the adapter with sad consequences. We remind you that damage from such chargers will still not be covered by the warranty
• added power protection, the adapter will not be damaged in case of problems with the car's generator
• the 12V-5V converter has been moved to the wireless module. When working via a USB cable, the adapter will be powered from the USB port,
• elements that were prone to defects have been replaced with similar ones from other manufacturers in a higher price category

In all other respects, the adapter remains the same ELS27, which is well known and has earned a good reputation. Each adapter still undergoes a full check before sale and has a 1-year warranty.

Main features and capabilities of the adapter:

• full compatibility with ELM327, ELS27 performs all functions of ELM327
• the adapter is assembled on the original STN2120 processor by ScanTools
• ELS27 supports KKL mode for cars that are diagnosed via K and L lines, for example, old VAG and others
• supports all CAN buses (HS CAN, MS CAN, SW CAN, MM CAN) without external switches and jumpers, the adapter has a built-in multiplexer
• works at high speeds (up to 8 Mbps)

The ELS27 adapter is supported by many programs, including Forscan, FoCCCus, ELM config, Stool, ELM-FFn. Many program authors add ELS27 to the list of supported equipment, as the adapter has an excellent price/quality ratio. Please note that neither our store nor the ELS27 manufacturer are the authors of diagnostic programs. Almost all programs are distributed for free, program support and answers to questions can be found on forums and websites of program authors.

Many sellers position ELS 27 as a scanner for Ford and Mazda, but we do not agree with this - ELS27 is a universal diagnostic scanner. This opinion arose because there are many programs with very deep functionality for Ford and Mazda. The adapter is very popular among Ford club enthusiasts.
