DashCoder 4 Software Update: Release Update Packet 10/2026
A scheduled software update has been released for DashCoder 4 — package Update Packet 10/2026. In this new release, the device coverage has been significantly expanded with added support for 2024–2026 model year vehicles, alongside dedicated algorithms for modern microcontrollers and external memory chips. The DC4 programmer continues to extend its capabilities for instrument clusters, virtual cockpits, comfort modules, and body control units via the OBD2 diagnostic port as well as direct connection.
Key Changes and Hardware Features
The primary focus of Packet 10/2026 is integrating new security bypass protocols and broadening direct OBD diagnostics. DashCoder 4 received comprehensive support for advanced MCU families, notably Renesas RH850 (including Peugeot Rifter 2025 and Suzuki Swace 1441) and Cypress/Spansion Traveo S6J (new versions for Mazda MX-30, KGM Torres/Musso, and Honda PCX 160 maxi-scooters).
Coverage for SPI/I2C EEPROM series 24XX, 25XXX, 93CXX, and 95XXX has also been widely expanded. These components are standard across instrument panels and electronic modules in modern Chinese vehicles from BYD, Chery, GAC, Geely, as well as motorcycles and commercial fleets. Additionally, updated direct OBD2 read/write protocols have been added for the latest Ford lineups, eliminating cluster removal.

Workflow Features and Practical Benefits
For the majority of added North American and European platforms (including recent Ford Ranger generations), operations are performed directly via the standard OBD2 port, requiring zero interior disassembly.
When handling secure Renesas RH850 and Cypress/Spansion S6J processors, the DC4 software automatically reads secured data sectors, creates a full backup image, and calculates checksums seamlessly. This safeguards against module corruption and ensures safe procedures on delicate electronic units.
